Swedish & Relaxation Massages

Swedish massage involves a variety of techniques specifically designed to relax muscles by applying light to medium pressure and moving in the same direction as the flow of blood returning to the heart.  Techniques applied include kneading, friction, tapping, and vibration which may provide relief from stiffness, numbness, pain, constipation, and other health issues. The main purpose of Swedish massage is to increase the oxygen flow in the blood and release toxins from the muscles.

Reflexology

Reflexology is a technique that uses pressure-point massage (usually on the feet, but also on the hands and ears) to restore the flow of energy throughout the entire body.  Reflexology is based on the belief that each part of the body is interconnected through the nervous system to the hands and feet. Stimulating specific reflex points or zones in the feet can bring needed nutrients to poorly functioning areas of the body. This technique can help restore balance throughout the body.

Deep Tissue Massage & Trigger Point Therapy

Neuromuscular Therapy (NMT/TPT) is a massage modality that focuses on the treatment of chronic pain, decrease range of motion, and to correct postural distortions.  Trigger points are painful points located within taut bands of muscle and are treated primarily with the application of sustained pressure which can vary from very light to heavy depending on the stage of development of the trigger point. NMT/TPT aims to reduce chronic pain, increase range of motion, and correct postural distortions.

Cupping & Lymphatic Drainage

Massage cupping has been used since the Egyptian Pharaoh age when they utilized horns rather than the plastic and glass cups we have today. Cupping is useful for trigger point release, breaking up adhesions, helping clients that are overtly sensitive to touch,  Lymphatic drainage, and more.

Lymphatic drainage is the movement of the fluid that carries waste out of the body, as well as help hormones and nutrients move through the blood. Your lymphatic system is an essential part of your immune system.
